GIRDLE WEARER: Our Thigh Plates are perfect for those who wear girdles. They are very thin (about 1/8") and fit into the thigh pockets of football pants. They have no padding because your girdle should already have that. However, once placed in the pocket of the pants, the swag shows through so you have the protection of the girdle with swag of treDCAL. THIGH PAD WEARER: You can choose your foam on these thigh plates to increase protection and replace the thigh pads you currently wear.

  • Thigh Plate

The thigh plate is made of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic that is approximately 1/8” thick.  The image on the front side shows the same way through the pants regardless of the thigh plate color.  The only difference is that the black plate may give a “framed” look to the image while the white plate gives a “cleaner” look.

    Thigh Plate Sizes

Small:  Our smallest thigh plate is perfect for the youngest players or those who just want the smallest thigh plate available.  It is 4” tall and 4.625” inches wide.

Medium:  Our original size is our medium thigh plate that is 5.5” tall and 4.75” wide.  It is also the most popular and is a universal size to cover all positions.

Large:  Our largest thigh plate 7” and 5.5” wide and is for those who like more coverage.  This plate is great for adult linemen, running backs, and linebackers who want more thigh coverage.

    Foam Backing

Foam backing is optional for all-size thigh plates. It is a closed-cell, cross-linked, shock-absorbing foam that can be 1/4" (our most popular) or 1/2" thick.

    Front Images

The images on the front are 3/16” thick and made of a closed-cell, shock-absorbing foam. They are also removable and replaceable with replacement decals (available on our site).  Although images work best under lighter-colored clothing, they do work under darker-colored clothing by showing the outlines of the image.
